The Shinobi-zue (ninja cane) can look like a ordinary walking stick, farmer's staff, or priest's baton. In side them there could be hidden knives, daggers to a full sword blade. In this case part of the cane became the hilt of the sword and in some, you take out the blade for throwing. On some you remove a special end cap showing a mounted blade and turning the cane to a spear. Another group of canes were hollowed out and used for shooting darts or blinding powerd at some one. By removing both end caps the ninja could use his cane to shoot blow darts or smokescreen generator.
